The Kaiser once said, "Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world." If the Kaiser and his significant other had tipped this bottle, we’d all be "sprechenden Deutsch!" We took all that is good in a traditional Oktoberfest - gorgeous, deep copper sheen, massive malty backbone and spicy, floral, pungent noble hops - then intensified each into this, an Imperial Oktoberfest.

2005 bottle. The day after Thanksgiving, what better beer to share amongst ourselves. Pours a nice clear orangish brown with a fluffy head. Aroma smells of toasted malts, sweet caramel apples, a bit of citrus, hints of floral hops. I left it outside overnight so the first sip was ice cold. Nice sweetness likend to brown sugar and full mouth feel. As I kept drinking and it warmed up, the malts and earthy spices really came through. It was nice and strong with a nice dry hoppy back of the mouth taste.

a thick sweet alcohol syrup. Not sure what association this has to octoberfest, the style is more like Belgian triple.

Orange-amber pour with a finger of beige head. Malty, buttery caramel. Just a touch of spice in the finish.

2016 bottle. Mostly clear orange amber with an average off white head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is malty with floral hops and toffee. Taste is full of rich roasted malts, toffee, caramel, and sticky, somewhat bitter hops. Thicker and lingering sweetness. Slight alcohol presence.

Az Avery következő, mostanában beszerzett főzete egy duplabakként megjelölt, "imperial oktoberfest lágerként" hirdetett ital, melynek címkéjéről II. Vilmos köszön vissza ránk, ízig-vérig német jelleget kölcsönözve ezáltal a palacknak.

Draught @ Albion. Dark amber-copper with very small frothy beige head, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish caramelized malt taste with little bitterness, alcohol undertones, medium malty finish with alcohol aftertaste. Quite potent and has significant alcohol bite.

Aroma: rich malt mixed with grassy hops Taste: intensive malt with some notes of citrus. Hoppy aftertaste (pine and grass). I don’t know why it’s in doppelbock style. Treated it as lager or marzen. Impressive beer (not as doppelbock!!!)

Bottle (1 pint, 6 oz); 2016: 9.5% ABV. pours copper color with light beige head that dissipates quickly; some lacing. Bread malt with spicy notes. Caramel, apple, and bread crust.
