The Kaiser once said, "Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world." If the Kaiser and his significant other had tipped this bottle, wed all be "sprechenden Deutsch!" We took all that is good in a traditional Oktoberfest - gorgeous, deep copper sheen, massive malty backbone and spicy, floral, pungent noble hops - then intensified each into this, an Imperial Oktoberfest.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 09 bomber again. Just as great this time. Now I can purchase up the road, ahh. Yeah, so, a very solid, warming, Oktoberfest... then someone tells you the a.b.v., WTF!? Are you fucking kidding me? Still a very nice Euro-Strong Lager w/ added Fall complexities. Clean Yeah. 06 22oz. A tremendously large lager! , has a strong yet deep/complex malt backbone. The alcohol begins at its moderate level, but gets much more noticable when warmer... def. takes on a barley wine feel. agro0s description works perfectly, well said. This is a good beer, and could be a great: a.) cheaper bomber, but hey!... b.) available in SOUTH CAROLINA : (

Draught @ Albion. Dark amber-copper with very small frothy beige head, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish caramelized malt taste with little bitterness, alcohol undertones, medium malty finish with alcohol aftertaste. Quite potent and has significant alcohol bite.

Aroma: rich malt mixed with grassy hops Taste: intensive malt with some notes of citrus. Hoppy aftertaste (pine and grass). I dont know why its in doppelbock style. Treated it as lager or marzen. Impressive beer (not as doppelbock!!!)

Really like the Dictator series. An interesting mix of styles for this one. Nice imperial presence with a sweetness that extends beyond the usual malty Oktoberfest flavors ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very malty. Nuts and caramel, sweet and full. A hint of spice and a touch of hops, but not enough to sway things.

22oz bottle from Windsor Hy-Vee, Batch No 13, Aug 2016, in a Sam Smith pint glass. Smells of ripe fruit, cracker malt and dry biscuit with hints of seawater and butterscotch. Pours a deep coppery red with a profusion of carbon dioxde bubble all over the glass and two fingers of pillowy white head. Flavor profile is ripe fruit and seawater followed by malt and biscuit with a long finish of fruit with a mild but distinctive alcohol burn, giving away the Imperial classification. Not too much though. Medium bodied, slightly sweet and mouthcoating with exactly the right amount of carbonation making this supremely easy to drink for a 9.5% brew. An excellent beer. Oktoberfest is not a preferred style for me, but the strength and balance of this one make up for a lot. May have to pick this one up again next year. Nicely done Avery.

Pours a clear golden brown from the bomber with fluffy cream colored head that leaves good lace. Aroma of nice malty sweetness and a hint of earth. Taste follows, clean and easy, to style, but a warming booze on the way down. Good for what it is.
