COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Reverend, was created in tribute to the life of Sales Mgr. Tom Boogaard's grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. Tom was inspired by the life of his grandfather and wanted to create a tribute beer that contained his sterling traits. True to both our "small brewery, BIG BEERS" philosophy and to the spirit and character of the departed Reverend, this beer is strong willed, assertive, and pure of heart, a heart of candy sugar. It contains as many authentic imported Belgian specialty malts as the brewers could cram into our mash tun, and lots of Belgian dark candy sugar stirred into the brew kettle. A divinely complex and beautifully layered beer with hints of dark cherries, currants, and molasses, complimented by an underlying spiciness. Sinfully smooth considering the high alcohol content. Cellarable for 4 years.

Dark reddish appearance with an average size head. Taste is very sweet with a pretty strong alcohol overtone. Complex but a little sweet compared to other quads that Ive been able to try. Surprisingly drinkable, but not the best representative of the style.

almost clear mahogany colour, 1 cm creamy yellowish beige head; aroma and taste of soy sauce, tons of yeast, some bread, caramel and minimal dark fruity notes; to be honest, this is definitely among the worst quadrupels Ive tasted so far...Im disappointed...very disappointed... :-(

Amber color, little head. Aromas of dried fruit, caramel, spiciness, milk chocolate alcohol. Very tasty. Quite sweet and malty, but has enough yeast spiciness and roast malts to keep it from being too much. Obvious alcohol, much well hidden. Some hops, but not prominent. Nice numbing phenolic feel, spicy, almost clove-like. Some rich fruits, dates. Traditional interpretation, but very good. Worthy of comparisons to its Belgian cousins.

Pours up a burnished amber color with a small white head. Aroma is slightly boozy and sweet with lots of dark fruit. Taste is sweet with some dark fruit and light syrup. A little boozy but dont seem like 10%. Definitely has a Belgian feel. The Reverend has delivered the message... and it was good!

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Deep golden color, good foam. Medium full aroma intensity; malty, dried fruits , some lighter honey and fruitiness. Medium full body & complexity . Some sweetness, balances well. Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy red-brown. Very immature. Light malt, berry and booze aroma. Very light palate for such a strong beer. Notes include wheat, malt, dark fruits, raisins, blackberry, licorice and twigs. Simply not bad.
