Re-named BA Meph Addict.
Our very own Parker, of the cartoon and cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in our 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, our executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character developmenta 4-month Hiatus in bourbon barrelswere necessary to satisfy our most ardent and demanding viewers.

Consumed for Drink It Now day, hosted by GenDV138. Poured a pitch black color. I am pretty sure I had this one before, but ah well - Ill rate it now. Aroma was a blast of coffee, lots or roasted dark chocolate. Bourbon, coffee, vanilla, woody oak is hidden in there. Really solid beer for the ABV. Figured this one would be totally out of wack.

Tap at Khyber, Pennsylvania. Colour is black with very small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Dark chocolate, coffee, courbon, some alcohol and roasted malts. Actually quite hard to drink. Massive.

Mighty good. Originally had this under is pseudonym. Great aromas and flavors of deep roasted malts, booze, chocolate and bourbon. Dark with a very thin head and beautifully rich palate that is weighty and oily.

Tap. Moderate to heavy roasted cereal, toffee, mild coffee and nutty for the malt, light resin for the hops, dough and broth for the yeast, with soy sauce and sweet sherry in the background. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, light brown, with slippery lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear very dark brown. Flavor starts heavily to harshly sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is moderately bittersweet. Palate is full, oily with a soft carbonation and finishes heavily alcoholic, lightly astringent and sticky. A super big beer and a bit out of the ordinary for an Imperial Stout.

The bottle I have says 16%. Thick dark brown, small beige head. Aroma chocolate, coffee, wood. Full body, syrupy. Some booze but not overwhelming. Some mocha flavor, mostly sweet malt. Rich and warming but for me a bit of a slog to get through.

12 oz bottle, batch 3 bottled 11/14/2016 - 16% ABV. Pours dark brown black with a creamy tan head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass.

The aroma is roast chocolate malt, sweet vanilla and lots of bourbon with a little coffee and a bit of fusel alcohol.

The flavor is sweet fudgy chocolate malts with vanilla and a big roast finish with quite a bit of harsh but warming alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, lots of interesting things going on. Pretty sweet, harsh and boozy. I remember the original Meph Addict being so much better with less harsh alcohol and a lot more coffee.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy chocolate, light-moderate coffee, light vanilla, and alcohol. There might be some bourbon in the nose, but its more straight alcohol more so than bourbon. As it warms, the alcohol becomes even more noticeable in the nose. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head. The flavor starts with moderate sugary chocolate and a hint of molasses. There is some light faint dark fruits in the middle. The finish has light-moderate coffee, light vanilla, light alcohol, and bourbon. Its full bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a somewhat oily mouthfeel. Overall, this is pretty tasty, but a tad too sweet to be great.
