Pours a clearish brown hue black with a frothy beige head. Smell has sweet sugar saturated espresso, dark molasses and light bourbon oak. Sweet dark roast with light vanilled oak, sweet whisky notes and siruppy coffee. Very well integrated barrel. A little heat in the end keeping the sweetness in check. Mouthfeel smoothens after being spritzy at first, then gets light and oily. Aftertaste has nuances of pleassant bourbon and coffee. Pretty classy stuff. sir__v (2618) - FRANCE - APR 17, 2017

Wóda, wóda, wóda. Beznadziejnie alkoholowy, piekący w oczy aromat. W smaku powtórka. Do tego jakaś sztuczna, plastikowa paloność i czekolada. Fatalne. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2017
Bottle from Whole Foods, and I can’t believe I haven’t rated this one yet here. Turbid and thick black, tan head. Heavy dark malt, oaky bourbon, coffee, molasses in the nose Huge palate density, with oaky bourbon, dark malt, coffee, molasses, hops, and a dense finish. Amazing beer. Bottle. Black in color with a small off-white head. Roasted coffee, vanilla and sweetish fudge in aroma. Some bourbon too. Chocolate and sweet notes in taste. Some vanilla and boozy notes after awhile. Heavy one, as a sipper this works somehow, but quite sweet from time to time. Good flavors though.

12 oz. bottle. Dark brown with a tan head of two fingers. A roasted, grainy, vanilla, and earth aroma. Some chocolate in there, too. Flavor is also very roasty. Hot too! Bourbon with vanilla. Chocolate is very rich. Lactic notes. This has a very nice feel to it. Rich and thick. klm1 (1501) - Bled/SF, - APR 5, 2017

almost black, motoroil-like body, large, dense and long lasting brown head; aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, bourbon notes, hints of vanilla, smokey and soy sauce notes, chocolate brownie and some dried fruits (plum, maybe cherry, too); taste of intensive dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, licorice, syrupy and herbal liqueur notes, some smoke and hints of coconut; spicy alcoholic aftertaste; amazing "beer"! Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours an oily black body with a small off-white head. Nose is coffee, espresso beans, vanilla, bourbon, wood, peanuts, caramel and hints of cocoa, toffee and dark sugars. Taste is espresso, alcohol, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, wood and hints of rum, dark sugars, cocoa and leather. Full, thick and creamy body, soft to medium carbonation. A real treat if you like big, heavy coffee stouts and bourbon barrel aging. Which I do. A lot. :-) mateuszk (2670) - Poznań, POLAND - APR 1, 2017
Bottle, 2014, 17% ABV. Lots of vanilla and roastiness, some bourbon too. Sweetish, full body, silky texture. Great long coffee and dark chocolate aftertaste. Alcohol hidden. Great brew.
