Black color, almost no head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, booze, hints of tobacco. Good body strength, very good dark malt flavor, dark caramel, hints of coffee, vanilla, biscuits; the extreme booziness is actually pleasant.
Almost a liquor, I actually enjoy this too much.
12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out shitloads of coffee upfront, along with bourbon barrels and some light roast. Flavour is complex, with loads of coffee upfront, followed by roasted malt and subdued bourbon. Very complex and rich, and well-balanced. Excellent extreme beer. jtclockwork (17446) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2015

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG 2015. Opaque black color, small light brown head. Aroma and taste are malts, roast, dark malts, bourbon, vanilla, firm alcohol, some bitter. Full body and carbonation. Strong but nice! 9-4-8-3-16. -- Re-rate July 30th 2015. Bottle @ home shared with Thompson and Countbeer. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, alcohol. Taste malts, bourbon, alcohol, some roast, some vanilla, initially a bit sweetish, aftertaste has some bitter. Intense and a bit too much I think. 7-4-7-3-15. (clearly I had more to drink prior to trying this beer when I rated it the first time, so I’ve averaged the scores) Ferris (16722) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2014
Bottle - Coffee and roast notes. Jet black and a decent head. Tastes as it smells, decent but not worth the high price.
