No third-wave, light-roasted, Panamanian Geisha here. This is Maillard-to-the-max, dark-roasted coffee beer, aged in wood. It will give you the yips. And a most pleasant buzz. iceman23 (3) - SINGAPORE - NOV 25, 2015 does not count
Bottled 28 Oct 2014 @ 17.81%. Pours oily black with one finger beige head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth combination of coffee and dark chocolate, slightly bitter and sweet at same time, with chocolate a bit more noticeable. Little alcohol burn now compared to when fresh. Bit of bourbon present but not dominating like eight months ago. Very nice! Rated 95 in March 2015 but 100 now. tsd08460 (1208) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - FEB 15, 2016

Fresh ground coffee and strong esters. Pours black with a faintest of brown hues. Dark tan head that fizzles away to nothing pretty quickly. Glassy smooth with a boozy warmth sliding down the throat. Hard root beer candy. Tons of strong black coffee. Vanilla. Maybe some spice. The booziness gets warmer and warmer. Just wow. Just freakin wow. nickel (1180) - UKRAINE - MAY 13, 2016
Aroma: coffee, wood, malt
Taste: explosive bourbon taste balanced by tende coffee and sweet chocolate. Though, it’s not as linear and from sip to sip it surprises with different flavout like coffee, chocolate, malt, pure bourbon.
Who knows what it turns to next sip.

Aroma is very boozy. Flavor is chocolate bourbon, sweet and boozy. My favorite of a blind test. Pours black with a tan head. Smooth
12 oz bottle; Batch 1, 17.81% ABV. Aroma consists of chocolate, leather, coffee, coconut, bourbon, licorice. Pours opaque black with a two finger dark tan head that reduces to a collar and skiff of foam after a few minutes. Taste is sweet (not cloying) and boozy with a bitter finish. Along with all aroma descriptors, I’m getting some cough drop, a faint vegetal character that isn’t displeasing at all, which is unusual for me. Velvety mouthfeel, full body, tight carbonation. Awesome! zizzybalubba (1878) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2014
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Pours black with a rich cinnamon brown head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee mostly with hints of bourbon and wood. Bourbon is certainly present in the taste with booze, vanilla, oak, and coconut flavors complemented by rich roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Some dark fruit even makes its way to the party. Awesome. As expected there is plenty of bitterness and warmth that lingers on the palate. An outstanding barrel-aged imperial stout. Bule (2228) - California, USA - FEB 8, 2016
12oz bottle pours a thick black color with a bit of head. Strong coffee at first, but that blows off quickly to leave a great balance of the coffee, sweet maltiness and skunky hops. Alcohol unnoticeable. Total deliciousness.
