Had on draft, never thought i’d get to try this- been a high want for years! .. . deep black, mild foam .. . espresso craziness .. . slick full mouth, mild heat in the throat .. . just a fantastic beer, and looking forward to the bottles that will be released soon! .. . . Embiggens is a perfectly cromulent word. DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - JAN 20, 2014
On tap at the Attic. Huge coffee aroma - seriously, the dark-roast coffee is so strong I can smell it from the snifter sitting a foot away on the table - with bold roasted barley, and some phenolic smoked BBQ. Flat obsidian in color with a light brown head. Incredibly rich taste of espresso, dark chocolate, molasses, a little anise and tree bark, and vanilla beans. Not surprisingly, it’s super hot, but it doesn’t hurt the beer at all. Another amazing imperial stout from Avery. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JAN 19, 2014
On tap at the Attic. Dark brown, almost black pour with a tan head. Lots of espresso coffee in the nose. Alcohol is hidden well. Chocolate, coffee and light bitter finish. Damn good! Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2014

Sampled many, many times, finally rating it. Pours a black, sludgy, and thick with a small tan head. Aroma of espresso, sweet malts, dark fruits, lots of booze and sherry like sweetness. Cocoa, dark chocolate, burnt sugar notes as well. Tobacco, oak, wet wood. This is obviously huge. Flavor is big, sweet, rich, massive. Overall, though, perhaps against all odds, it ends up going together nicely. As long as it’s a small pour, this is nice. Big mouthfeel. Finishes boozey and sweet. anders37 (26605) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2013

Sample at GABF. Pumped to get to the big beers of Avery. Had the regular Meph, but this is just whoa big. Big monsterous boozy, raisin, cocoa, coffee, leathery. Viscous mouth. Whoa!
