On tap at the Common Table. Aroma is booze, raisins, bourbon, coffee, brown sugar and leather. Flavor is straight coffee, oak. Not too hot tasting, all things considered. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2012
On tap at the Avery Tap Takeover at The Common Table.
The beer pours a pitch black color with a brown head. The aroma is full of coffee with some roasted malt thrown in. The coffee is extremely intense in the aroma, as well as the flavor. This tastes like I imagine iced espresso with a shot of alcohol would taste. There is also some roasted malt and chocolate but this is really all about the coffee. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very, very nice. mar (5444) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Black with a khaki head. Hella coffee, espresso, roasted beans, more coffee. Very smooth on the palate, it’s like drinking coffee with alcohol. Crispy34 (496) - Texas, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Draft. The aroma is espresso with boozy menthol. It looks fantastic. The taste is dark malt and coffee with no alcohol. Very good for how much alcohol.

Called "Meph Addict"’ or "Mephistopheles Tweak".
Dark brown color, dark brown head. Sweet, roasted scent, also coffee. Mainly coffee, sweet, alcohol taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Warming alcohol.
Draft at craft ale house. Pours pitch black with a nice tan head that sticks around. The aroma is coffee forward with a little mocha trail. The taste is big coffee but not overly bitter or sweet.. Really great with just a touch of alcohol on the finish. An experience I hope to repeat. Jesterdeal (1986) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - JUN 7, 2012
Aroma of sweet roasty coffee. Pours black with a tan head. Taste is roasty with sweet chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is intended without tasting like alcohol. Drink slowly! emacgee (4705) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Ink black pour with one finger burnt brown head. Super fresh coffee nose, smells like cold extraction. Coffee character is overwhelming and dominating with notes of chocolate. Rich flavor, too much coffee. Bitter burnt coffee and chocolate. Full bodied with some alcohol on the finish. evanlarkin (315) - Northfield, Minnesota, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Black. Just a ring of tan head. Smells like booze and coffee. As if someone put cognac in a dark roast. Slight pruniness? Coffee bomb. TOTALLY smooth. Silky even. Light sweetness and a bread, toasted flavor is present. After a while, alcohol becomes noticeable, side by side with lingering coffee.
