Booze, caramel and some sort of earthy root vibe like Absinthe. Pours clar maroon with good head. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewery. slowrunner77 (12466) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 6, 2017
Dark orange pour. Piney hops galore, some earth and big malt on the nose and flavor. Pleasantly bitter. Drinks pretty big but hits the spot if you're in the mood. Itzjerm (3056) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - AUG 26, 2016
Lots of hop aroma. Thin on tongue but lots of hops. Not much more than the original except a bit more thin and a bit more harsh.

Tap at the source with blonderedhead, willyP, and wanderkate. 10oz pour in Belgian snifter glass. Beautiful appearance like a ripe apricot or tangerine. Someone in the party thought it was like a funky cheese in nose and taste. No one agreed with him. Taste has plenty of bitterness with strong piney characteristics and a citrus rind quality. Leans towards a palette wrecker. Bitterness lingers well through and after the finish. Nice malty, caramel backbone that comes into play towards the end. Super cool scene and well worth the visit. Not my favorite Avery offering but happy to have tried it. djd07 (15293) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 14, 2016
On tap at the brewery October 2014. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong pine and resin. Medium body, pine, resin, very bitter finish, very good.

Draft at Avery. Pours opaque copper with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like strong pine and grapefruit hops, resin, nutty caramel malt, light booze. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like pine and grapefruit hops, resin, caramel and nutty malt. Marheb (5902) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 21, 2015
Du sucre d’orge trempé dans une marmelade de pamplemousse avec une longue amertume herbacée. Le corps est hyper collant et résineux malgré les sucres qui veulent à tout prix percer. Excellente dualité. Ibrew2or3 (8743) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 15, 2014
Poured up on tap at the World of Beer in downtown Denver where it has a clear copper body that supports a light tan head. The aroma is big resiny pine and grapefruit citrus hops and it ends a bit malty at the end of the draw. The taste is smooth yet resiny with pine hops and then it gets into grapefruit like citrus. This is a pretty darn tasty brew. jredmond (8445) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 6, 2014
Draft at the brewpub with Andrew. Pours an amber body with thick off white lacing. Aroma is malt, sweet barley, syrup, light maple and booze. Mouthfeel is prickly with alcohol character, spice and carbonation. Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2014
Tap. Pours clear orange with red hues. Aroma is very piney, strong hops. Taste is sweet backbone with lots of bitterness upfront that lingers, very resinous. Overall, fantastic.
