A cross between an imperial stout and a barleywine ale. A decent beer, but not a true success on either front. MARCH MADNESS 2018! dukeandduke (321) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2018
2/26/18 - 12 ounce bottle bottled 2/7/18 poured into large beer mug. $14.99 purchased at Total Wine & More in Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. Pitch black pour, tan colored head. Bourbon, fruit, vanilla aroma. Sweet taste of fruit including raisin offset by bourbon, strong but not overpowering. Excellent blend. Silky smooth going down. Overall excellent offering. smaynard6000 (1287) - Apopka, Florida, USA - FEB 24, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2018 Bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate malt and char. Slightly sweet with dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and char, with some warming. Full bodied and excellent.

Wow, just wow. Perfect balance between coffe, choclate and BA. Well hidden ABV. Pure class. sebletitje (10704) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 30, 2018
Bouteille 12oz, bottled 24/02/2017, batch# 6.

Pours near black with a quick tan head. Nose is a lot of oak and alcohol with some chocolate and dark fruit. Flavor is a very rich and surprisingly smooth considering the heat; finish is very long and malty. Excellent dessert or sipping beer. Voodoo (729) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2018
Poured the color of used motor oil with a light tan head which was gone quickly......aroma of booze, bourbon, molasses, licorice....taste is thick and follows the aroma, licorice, bourbon, molasses, oak, booze with a touch of heat late. It is 8F degrees outside, this works well tonight. luttonm (7150) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 15, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Tan head, very dark brown body, quite heavy. Roast meat on nose, soy and molasses, bourbon. Smooth and rich with very nice, spicy bite. Drinks a hair lighter than the weight suggests. Balanced molasses and soy in body. Very, very nice. PilsnerPeter (3049) - Flushing, New York, USA - NOV 25, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2017 Bottle 2015: Pours a deep, near opaque black with a surprisingly dense and well retained tan head. Nice malty aroma. Chocolate, molasses, sweet vanilla bourbon and mild oak. Slick body. Some apparent alcohol, lots of sweetness upfront. Some roast and licorice in the middle with touch a hint of roast towards the back and more alcohol/booze on the finish. A big beer that lacks complexity and balance. GTAEgeek (2605) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 25, 2017
2012 bottle. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, brown head. Baking chocolate, earth, caramel, oak, and a touch of red wine. Very sweet and lightly bitter. Heavy body, with an oily, grainy, and harsh mouthfeel. Just decadent. Might be past its prime, though.
