Hazy golden in color. Light and hoppy. Really bad notes on this one, sorry.
Notes: Brewery visit ’09 during GABF
Intense citrus fruits, orange, tangerine, orange peel, hazy gold, small, creamy white head. Medium bitter. More dank hops, overripe tropical fruits, mango, overripe papaya, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Keg at the brewery, Boulder. ajnepple (7172) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2017
On tap at the brewery, dry-hopped with Cascade and Lemondrop. Clear golden to yellow colored appearance with a fluffy white head that lingers. Aroma of fresh pine, earth, toasted grain and a light lemon zest. Similar flavor, adding moderate hop bitterness and a light malt sweetness. Medium body with ample carbonation, a crisp feel and a light dry finish. Pretty clean overall. solidfunk (9439) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 17, 2017
Sharp grapefruit and some pine. Good balance here like wingsuits. Hazy golden pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Tap at brewery. onceblind (10692) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 29, 2016
Hazy golden with a fluffy rocky white cap. Thick murky fluffy aroma that’s earthy and piney and hop musty. Thick earthy hop flavor that’s murky and resinous dank with a floral pizzazz. Cool but too murky. rosenbergh (11868) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2016
Draught at the Avery Brewing Co, Boulder, CO.
Hazy golden color with a small white head.
Extremely fresh hops, dryness, mild bitterness and dry malt in the aroma. So yummy!
The flavor is super fresh, fresh, hoppy, dry, bitterish and dry malty. This is so fresh. Reeeeaaally good!

"Amarillo & Cascade version: solid fruity grapefruit and spice aroma. body is seamless, flavor well balanced between bitter, fruit, spice, and sweet. Nice finish." ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Avery Simcoe/Chinook Dry-Hopped IPA: As expected, it looks just like the Avery IPA, with a nice, dense white head. But the twist starts with the nose, which smells of perfume, ammonia, and soap... yes, it has a very strong nose. It’s refreshing, thin in the mouth, and well-suited to deliver an awesomely stiff dose of gorgeous hops. The flavor is amazing, a little harsh on the palate if you’re not expecting the onslaught of hop flavor. It’s so wonderfully hoppy, has a great hoppy presence and profile. Taster poured at Avery taproom. Light colored head that is thick. Pours a golden orange color. Many bubbles are present. Smells very sweet and hoppy and tastes the same. Smooth to drink and very tasty. anders37 (27237) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2013
Draft @ the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity citrus hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish. zizzybalubba (1887) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 16, 2013
On tap at Avery during GABF week 2013 (listed on the menu as "Simcoe / Chinook IPA"). Dark orange pour with an off-white head that clings to the glass. Aroma of pine and grapefruit rind. The taste is a bitter assault of pine, wet grass, and grapefruit. Listed at 6.5% at the tasting room, this is one of the most aggressively hopped beers I have tried and at that ABV makes it extremely impressive. Awesome beer!
