On cask at Avery tasting room poured a translucent dark brown with a lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, light coffee and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. cask. dark brown, small head. robust roasted coffee nose with forward cracked grains and toasted barley. rich and full-bodied, sublime texture: lightly prickly and dry while also luxuriously smooth and decadent. robust bakers chocolate and black patent malts shine. beautiful stout, exceeding their filtered bottle and draft version in every way.
