22 oz bottle shared with Spencer. I already apologized for this one. The pour is a dark brown/light black with a huge light tan head and some sporadic lace. It falls down to a film. The aroma is strange. There is a strong licorice and a fruit that's blasting out. It smells incredibly light. No molasses or barrel is present, just a bit of fruit. The flavor is bad. There is a bit of roasted malt before the sweet fruitiness comes in. It's thin and light on the mouth feel incredibly. There isn't a lot of carbonation and it just falls off the tongue incredibly quickly. Damnit. Awful.

Pours a deep black from the bottle with thin ring of tan brown head that leaves light lace. Aroma of molasses and light vanilla bourbon sweetness. Taste follows with hints of earth and soy over the bourbon oak. A little light on everything, including mouth, but not too bad. GenDV138 (7201) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 25, 2015
22 oz bottle shared by a friend. Aromas of roast, sweet bourbon, chocolate, coffee, oak. Tastes of roast, sweet bourbon, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, toasty oak. Medium body with a dry finish. jrob21 (3662) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Bomber from app vintner. A little heavy on the molasses and soy sauce. Aroma has some bourbon and dark cherry. Flavor is a bit rough with the molasses being so heavy and the bourbon kicking most of the base beer out. An ok drink but rough and heavy handed with some of the things it is trying to do. Just did not have the sought after taste of being "bourbon barrel aged" beer (which few beers touting "BBA" flavor actually have). It is the BBA taste that is sought. This was a spring 2014 purchase, so maybe a future batch will be an improvement; and lots of improvement is needed. The better BBA’s need to age for 6 months or more ... "several weeks" is not long enough.

On draft at the brewery last June. Black pour. Slight bourbon and malt nose. Oak and bourbon gives way to roasted malt. woodychevy (874) - - JUN 16, 2014
From a bomber. Just ok for a stout- and for Aviator for that matter. All the typical stout flavors and medium mouthfeel but pretty dank and hoppy for the style. Not much bourbon going on either. Think the Columbus hops are messing with my enjoyment of the stout style. Plenty of better stouts out there. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 16, 2014

Cask. On tap at OH station. Black pour, creamy tan head. Aroma is cherry and hint of the bourbon. Tastes are pepper, chocolate, wood, molasses. Very little of the bourbon in the finish. OK. 7.0 Kosmokrator (849) - ITALY - DEC 30, 2013
