Tap at Motorco in Durham. Pours light brown with a small white head. Nose of cereal, biscuity malt, and light citrus hop notes. Taste adds a pleasant bitterness. Good session beer for a UNC basketball victory.
Pours up a dark amber color with a somewhat diminishing taupe colored head. Decent lace. Heavy dark caramel aromas, with a touch of rye in the background. Fairly sweet start, with a lightly toasted malt flavor. Some toffee. Not overly true to the style, but good none the less. freekyp (2330) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2017
Pours deep amber with tons of sticky lace. Strong toffee nose. Well balanced with a slightly sweet malt finish. Earthy hop bill sits behind the malt in a pleasing mild way. Poundable, understated, but really good. hman43 (1605) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Appearance is light amber. Aroma is a wee bit malty. Initial flavors of caramel malts and some off flavors. AdamT (268) - North Carolina, USA - JUN 17, 2014
12oz draft from The Beer Store Wilson. Orange hue, hazy clarity (can see my fingers on the other side) with 1/4" thick frothy white head. Excellent lacing. Wheat, malt, resin. Sweet malt taste up front with the same finish. beerme31 (686) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Draft. Pour amber thin tan head. Aroma of sweet bread, caramel, and resin. Taste was a light sweetness. Medium body, lively carbonation, mild bitter hop dry finish. Not great but pretty good and would order again.

I can’t believe how great this beer is a pounding good tune at the brew house, a nice malty California common witty and flavorfull TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Tap at beer study. Hazy amber with a light white head. Smells like sour metallic malt. Flavor is similar. Not a fan at all.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate white head. Nose and taste are both a bit malty, and I actually feel that it has a bit of a bite to it at the end. Very similar to a dark lager. Aurelius (5376) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Mostly clear, tea color, thin ivory head. Good propeller tap. Very fruity Newton-esque aroma - like strawberry newtons or something, light diacetyl. Sweet, hoppy, distinct strawberry tones -- I even had the barmaid at the Flying Saucer double-check to make sure they hadn’t crossed up Abita Strawberry or something. Medium to marginally light body. Finishes out with a bitter/woody/acidic fadeaway. MGC trip 1.
