COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Mellow, collected aroma of banana esters, spices, clove, wheat, and the slightest hint of anise and other aromatic herbs. The taste is sweeter than the aroma, with a finish that covers the spectrum of banana notes, in addition to orange and wheat. It is gentle and delicious. Lovely Hefeweizen.

The nose is great with bananas, pears, strawberries, a bit of lemon zest and yeast. Some grains also, but very pleasantly introduced. Tart refreshing and quite complex, taste follows the nose with honey on top. Spicy, fruity and with a silky, creamy body, this is one of the best weizens I've ever had. Much appreciated.

Very fluffy a bit short lasting high foam. A very yellow colour for Hefeweizen. Smells not typical for Weizen: lemon, banana. A bit of coriander on a tongue, also grainy, citrus sub tastes. A very medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish n a palate. Very drinkable and light and kind of "aristocratic" like in a description.

Very good, close to perfection. Nice blend of flavors, including but not limited to the obligatory hint of banana.

500ml bottle at home. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Wheat, lemon citrus, clove, banana, yeast. Light funk. Fizzy carbonation. Fruity wheaty finish. Refreshing and really tasty.

500ml bottle pours a cloudy golden color with fluffy white head that lasts but leaves little lacing. Aroma has bananas, wheat, light spices and yeast. Taste is sweet with a dry but not bitter finish. Body is light to medium with perfect carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Ayinger shoudn’t compare this to champagne, since it is so much better, and the epitome of a German Hefeweizen; as good as any I’ve had.

Tap at biercab. Pours bit hazy blonde. Good white head. Smell is full of esthers. High on banana, clear cloves as well , representing the phenol side. Taste is creamy, wheqt, banana up front, cloves in the back. Mild bitter touch. Decent wheatbeer.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet in Norway, on order. Hazy golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; fruity, banana, light citrus and nice yeast influence. Medium body & complexity. Ok bitterness- balances very well. Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Some elements of the commercial description work for me: I can smell the citrusy vanilla notes, and it does have the color of honey. I don’t know about the champagne comparison: I smell a lot of banana here, and even with bubbles I don’t associate sweet banana fruitiness with champagne. But it does balance a lot of complex flavors, and I like it.
