Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Pours very dark brown with thick tan head. A lot of carbonation. Nose is very dark and sweet. A bit of clove, licorice, prune and a lot of caramel malt. Mouth is very sweet. A definite smokey presence with a very subtle sourness. The roasted malts and coffee come through after a few seconds.

Smells and tastes like wheat and bread with a decent bit of malt. Medium bod. I can see why this is widely liked - I’m not typically a fan of bottom-fermented beers and I’m not convinced by this one, but it’s aight.

Milkiness and caramel dominate the aroma. Taste is pretty creamy and smooth for a bock. Some burnt sugar. Very malty. Medium sweet

1 finger off-white head. More-or-less pitch black beer. Aroma is dark rye bread, dark chocolate, light caramel, smoked charcuterie and a hint of citrusy hops. Taste is dark rye bread, soy, liquorice, coffee grounds, smoked charcuterie and a finishing hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is velvety smooth and rich. Medium-low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Overall: This beer is not hard to find on the shelfs here in Sweden, so naturally I thought that it was probably some sort of watery, dark lager like most regulars there are. Man, was I wrong. Really pleasant and drinkable brew, with rich, malt-forward taste notes along with a distinct but not overpowering smokeyness. Very good, very drinkable.

Aus der Flasche getrunken (Kauf bei Tante Frizzante). Klares Dunkelbraun mit dünner beiger Schaumkrone. Intensive komplexe Malznoten dominieren.

Postgusto a pasas, ligero chocolate. Compleja, nada fácil y demasiado satisfactoria. Bombazo para sus 6,7%. Ejemplar.

Murky brown, tan head. Sweet roasted malts, dark fruits, cough syrup, some chocolate and earthy notes. Roasted, sweet-bitter balanced finish.

Bottle from Systembolaget (6,7%). Dakr color with large, beige and creamy head. Aroma is a bit sweet with notes of malt and herbs. Taste gives notes of cocolate and banana. Sweet finish leaving one craving for more. Very tastefull!

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat, Glasgow. Beer served in 18°C, Wine Glass. Pours opaque black, very dark brown when looking in the sunlight. Nice medium head. Delightful smell of confiture, black roasted malt, dried forest fruits. Flavor is rich and smooth, slick, roastiness, dried plums and cherries, bitter and smoked cocoa. One of my favourites to enjoy while spending long evenings or in a cold season.
