This beer was first brewed in 1978 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our brewery. It has a golden-yellow color with a slightly flowery yeast, honey-ish aroma, tastes a little spicy and is full-bodied in initial taste, mild before swallowing and soft with a refined sparkle and fades with a well-balanced hint of bitterness. It is an especially drinkable and harmonious beer. Conrad Seidl, known as the Austrian “Pope of Beers”, on the Jahrhundert-Bier: “It is a malty beer that pronounces the precious earthy quality of malted barley.” 12.8°

50cl bottle from some gas station in Munich. Pours a crystal clear yellow colored body with an inch thick, dense and foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is a bit sweet and malty with some grainy breads, a light grass, and a bit of a fruitiness. Flavor is similar. Clean, lightly sweetened pils malts with some bread, grain, a light grass throughout, and a light fruitiness. Finishes fairly dry and really clean with just a light bitterness that is balanced well by a touch of sweetness. Short aftertaste following a light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice Helles. Clean, balanced, and flavorful with a really nice body. Good one.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2018 Bottle. Clear gold with a huge beautiful white foamy head. Aroma of grains, malts, bread and spicy and floral hops. Taste follows aroma. Medium carbonation. Very balanced and refreshing. Süffig to the max.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve. Clear light golden with a white head. Malty biscuit aroma. Bittersweet taste. Solid German export lager.

Bottle. Lots of oxidation going on in both aroma and the flavour. Slightly yeasty sourish, slightly metallic. That about sums it up. Not much to be found here.

Strogeel, helder, witte schuimkraag, redelijk veel koolzuur. Aroma: Biscuit Mout, bloemig, iets spicy Smaak: Moutig, biscuit/brooddeeg, iets zoet, licht kruidig, vrij zachte bitter en iet honingzoet en bloemig. Superfris en makkelijk drinkbaar. Prima body, zeker niet waterig, precies goed koolzuur.... zacht mondgevoel. Afronk is licht bitter iets droog. Gewoon goed!

Straw yellow with a white frothy head, clean nose, and bright, but smooth carbonation. Taste is medium sweet malty with a dry finish. To me, less robust in taste and not as bitter as DAB Dortmunder Export.

Appearance is pretty wonderful - beautifully clear, golden, with a huge meringue of head. Aroma is woeful - eggs/sulphur, rescued (just) by a touch of citrus and yeast. Taste is fruity and sweet (for a lager), with no trace of artificial (or eggy!) elements common to lagers. Dry, crisp finish; light carb. Serve cool but not cold.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2018 Piwo klarowne o słomkowej barwie, piana biała redukuje się do koronki. W aromacie i smaku dominuje slodowosc. Mało ciała

On tap at Ayinger am Platzl. Golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with a light herbal touch. Sweetish malty flavour with a light herbal note. Mild bitter finish.
