Bottle. Pours yellow, slightly hazy with a small white head. Clean maltiness with hints of berries (red currants) and fruit. The taste has the same qualties as the aroma, with a small bitterness in the end. Well balanced, and complex for a lager beer. I just love how Ayinger handles the malt!

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat, grass and earthy hops. The flavor has a lot of strong grain notes to it with some wheat and earthy hops mixed in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Cloudy golden pour from bottle. Light aroma of lemons. Taste is malty and buttery, with light hoppiness. Soft finish, without much bite. Decent session type beer.

Bottle 50 cl. @ home. Nice aroma with fresh lemon (not invasive) and grain heavy linked. Pours almost pale, intense golden color, with creamy white foam. Very nice malty and yeasty taste, with a little sweetness half among biscuit and caramel. Highly carbonation and *extremely* drinkable (you could go on and on...), concludes with a herbal-citric notes in its - just a little watery - finish. Considering the style simplicity, another first-rate beer by Ayinger!

0,5 l bottle generously sent to me by alagnak. L9243 06.10 printed on the back label. Pour is a cloudy white yellow golden with a well formed thick 3 inch head. Head falls slowly with pretty lacing. Some fine carbonation bubbles are active at the bottom of the glass. Nice looking beer. Aroma is gentle toasted grain, perhaps a hint of lemon way in the back. So clean, fresh and soft. Taste is the toasted grain, along with some mild fruit sweetness - sort of an apple and lemon fruitiness. The taste is the nose, though not as clean. There is a nice earthy mineral aftertaste which lingers pleasantly. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered, with just the right amount of fine spritzy carbonation. This is a really nice beer, thanks for sending it my way Chris, I have been dying to try it (one of my favorite brewers / one of my favorite styles) for a long time.

On tap at Angolo Blu in Rimini. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium fizzy white head. Fresh nose with malty and soury notes. Taste is pilsner like with more malty sweetness and caramel notes. Lightly bitter finish. Good palate with high carb. Really really refreshing.
