this is by far one of the most incredible hefs i have ever had. simply spectacular. i cant get enough. it blew me away Erzengel (8622) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 2, 2014
Nice orange-cloudy colour, thick white head. The nose is fruity and nice Weizen-typical. The beer starts mild, not as watery as expected. Quite full in flavour. The mainpart is smooth, mild. Nicely yeasty. Clove and banana quite intense. Lots of carbonation. The aftertaste is smooth, not too sweet. Very nice balanced. Absolutely great for a low-alcoholic Weizen! The only negative point is that the aftertaste is not as long as in a "normal" Weizen. But a smooth Weizen-tyical note still remains long in the mouth.

--> For a low-alcoholic Weizen absolutely great! For a "normal" Hefe-Weizen it could be a bit more intense - but it is no "normal" Hefeweizen! :)
Tried this one at a pub in Rochester NY, and I got to say, I was not disappointed at all. Poured a nice cloudy, copper/yellow color with a white head. immediately I was struck by the banana bread-like smell and taste, though it was not as strong as some other hefeweizen’s I’ve tried. i see it’s listed as 3.2 ABV but the one I had was 5.2 ABV, must be cause I got it in the states. Poured out hazy golden color, had a citrus smell to it. Very strong sweet wheat taste to it. Overall I would recommend it to anyone. animal8788 (32) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 13, 2007
Light yellow with lots of fluffy white head. Cloudy. Strong wheat and hop aroma. Tastes wheaty and spicy. Then the taste changes to pumpkin and cinnamon, and kind of a light sweet aftertaste. Good mouthfeel, pretty thick for a wheat beer, but not too meaty for the style.

On tap at the Huber Haus. Pours an amazing cloudy light gold with a cloud-like white head. Aroma is delightfully fruity and banana-like. Flavor is at first overwhelming banana esters, followed by a yeasty bolus. Slightly tart at the finish, but mostly a smooth balanced light beer (not calorie light I’m sure). Great summer beer. Pours a pale gold color with massive white foamy head. Constant bubbles rise in the the glass. This beer is full of fruit and yeast aromas with hints of banana. I enjoy the very Belgian qualities that this beer has. A great drink when the weather gets warm. Another accomplished beer from Ayinger. UPDATED: MAR 23, 2012 Bottle:
Medium to bigger vast white head on top of a brighter hazy yellow colored beer.
Smell is a well balanced mix of yeast and fruit notes, some wheat, yeast, hay and something light spicy/herby.
Taste is also well balanced and a pretty fresh mix of wheat and yeast, different fruit tones, light maalty and some hops, low sweetness, bit more bitter, hay and grass.
