lupulist (354) - Vancouver, British Columbia, - DEC 1, 2012
Bottle from the Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Pours a hazy golden colour with a lacy off-white head. Grassy, citrus and malty aromas. Taste is dry, earthy, and slightly bready. Not heavily carbonated. Short bitter finish. My first kellerbier.

Clear dark yellow, proper head. Aroma is boring, some herbs, honey notes. High carbonation, low body, taste is typical lager, ok.

Dommage.(7/3/6/3/13)

01-10-17 // 500ml bottle from Getränke Stumpf. Golden beer, Little unfiltered, creamy White head. Thats how a Kellerbier should be taste, so smooth, full-flavoured, great malty Body, grainy, minimal bitterness.

Sweetness from the malts with some hops at the top of the mouth. Nothing too interesting going on here. Pretty standered kellerbier. Perfectly serviceable but no standout.

Hazy pale yellow colour with a thin, even head. Aroma is lots of grass and cereal. Taste is moderately sweet with a hint of fruit. Incredibly creamy texture. I could drink this all day.

500 ml. bottle @ home. BBF 10.2017. Nuts, recently bought, thought that this was fresher. Golden orange, disappearing white head, some bubbles rising. Nose is DE banana, big corn, flower, camomile oily with big cooked vegetable oil but not as in a brewing fault, tea,…. Oily, banana, bit sparkling. Chamomile, raw bitter oily flowers, tea, DE banana, fizzy, esters, almost vegetable oil, floral, almost vague sugar, vanilla creamy banana sweetish,… Raw oily, needed to adjust my pallet for this one a bit but it is definitely an interesting one & probably more proper on location, curious to investigate beers such as this more. Interesting raw, oily some sweetness going, very expressive on taste. I needed to get a bit into it. Tasty. Did not taste old in any way.

Final acuoso y suave.

Vom Fass at Ayinger Speis und Trank, Munich. Apparently fresh and direct from the cellars in Aying. The taste definitely leads me to believe it! Hazy (that classic naturturb) gold. Fresh almost milky beer aroma. Soft and savory malty brew. Light bodied. Very little lingers on the palate. Probably the best kellerbier ive had yet. Sweet, fresh, satisfying. Not a glamourous style but I enjoyed this one.

Hazy pale yellow color, with a greenish shine, and a nice thick white head. Aroma is grassy, malts, cereals. Taste is grassy, malts, bready, spices. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Some light bitterness in the end. Nice beer, refreshing, but not too different from the helles.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, hay, bread, touch of caramel and almonds, with light hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with a mild creamy feel. A fine Keller.
