Pours a beautiful amber honey with a white to slightly off white head of tightly packed bubbles. It’s quite stunning. Wonderful aroma, like fresh bread: caramel, bread, roasty nuts, light resin, floral hops, some barnyard, some raisin, some soy sauce, some vanilla... quite complex. Taste is very well balanced. Lingering dry bitter finish is nice BUT I detected a strange soapy glue mouthfeel. Almost felt like I had licked to many envelopes... This might be from my serving temperature (much warmer than usual) OR I had some hamburger meat while reviewing. ANYWAY, great beer, highly recommend, would drink again, will buy again.
Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Thanks Stefan! Pours a slightly murky copper with a small, bubbly off-white head. Bread, light caramel, floral, dark fruits, a bit spicy. Slightly sweet, with a good, round mineralic touch of the water, and light bitterness. Bubbly natural carbonation on a slick, oily body. YantarCoast (1622) - Moscow, RUSSIA - JAN 4, 2018
Rating number 500. When I started out on here, I wouldn't have believed I'll end up with a lager as one of my "milestones". But being on here, talking to fellow enthusiasts, tasting great stuff far off the conventional track of Austrian makros, has taught me that lager can be a lot more than when you first try it. This one is no exception. Slick, with great carbonation, character and insane drinkability. They surely know how to brew top notch stuff in Aying. Thanks for the supply, Stefan, it's a real pleasure to have met you!
500ml bottle as “Ayinger Kirtabier”. Pours clear amber with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is bread, caramel, grain. Taste is light sweet, malt, grassy, caramel, medium bitterness. ffaoe (1012) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - DEC 23, 2017

Marzen espectacular, de lo mejor en su categora, se bebe sola, en paladar es un espectculo, olor a cereales que llama. Repetira sin dudar. smroush (309) - Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2017
Aromas of toffee and bread with hints of butterscotch, molasses and some nutty flavor. Pretty much no hop aromas.
Color is a clear attractive amber; head is a sparse off-white.
Taste starts wit a little sweetness but then finishes dry. Light bitterness.
Texture is a bit lively carbonation; light to medium body; medium length finish.
Overall a pretty true to form Marzen, though relatively low complexity. sunnyville (1) - - NOV 20, 2017 does not count
Great taste - especially when pouring it straight from the tap at the brewery.

Aroma is caramel and toast. Taste is both fruity and a tad sour, but at the same time sweet, with caramel and toast bread.
