COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Bottle as Ayinger Kirtabier. Thanks to SinH4. Dark golden body with nice white head. Aroma is malty with hints of caramel and biscuits. Taste is nearly the same. Aftertaste is more sweet than bitter.

Very cloudy light amber color with a huge foamy head. Bottle was sedimented? Light caramel and toffee notes in the aroma. Sweet flavor, but restrained a bit, with nice caramelized flavors and some yeastiness. Smooth and just a little flat. Light alcohol warming in the finish. Bottle was of unknown age, possibly detracting from the flavor.

Nice gold color. You can see fresh hop throught the glass. It has a nutty flavor in it? Hope I am right.

Certainly not Ayinger’s best, but very good for the style.

Pretty average marzen style beer, light brownish in color, huge bubbly white head, lacked a little bit of the malty tones that I usually get from marzens, decent balance, a little on the disappointing side

Aroma of stale beer. Taste of malt and bread dough. Some subtle non-discript fruit undertones. Nice and beery if that makes any sense to you, nice for fall.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2010 A decent light copper color and off white head start off this brew. Nose is very much dominated by the malt, and needs the addition of some other elements to improve. Flavor is also malty, with some dryness that increases in the finish, with a nice crispness. Overall, a nice beer, but far from a great one.

Thin head. Sweet, malty nose. Don't detect too much hop aroma. Slight carbonation. Flavor is as aroma. A little mustier than most Fests. Finish is short and a bit tinny. Was expecting more.

Bottle pours light amber, small white milk froth like head, soft carbonation, with spotty lacing.   Malts and grain on the nose, slight caramel.   Very light tasting, malty with a subtle hop note.   Medium body and mouthfeel.   Finishes quickly, dry, with a slightly toasted malt flavor.   A pleasing Oktoberfest, albeit rather simple.
