Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Pours a medium golden amber, with a large foamy head. The off-white head still persisted during the session. The aroma is upfront, with toasted malts and some slight hoppiness. Taste is also strong and largely relfects the aroma--a mild toasted malt flavor is front and center, with some bready, slightly grassy qualities. Hoppiness imparts a little bitterness but is definitely in the background. Mouthfeel is average. In all, a fine Oktoberfest beer if flavor is high on the list of priorities.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Thanks Stefan! Pours a slightly murky copper with a small, bubbly off-white head. Bread, light caramel, floral, dark fruits, a bit spicy. Slightly sweet, with a good, round mineralic touch of the water, and light bitterness. Bubbly natural carbonation on a slick, oily body.
Rating number 500. When I started out on here, I wouldn't have believed I'll end up with a lager as one of my "milestones". But being on here, talking to fellow enthusiasts, tasting great stuff far off the conventional track of Austrian makros, has taught me that lager can be a lot more than when you first try it. This one is no exception. Slick, with great carbonation, character and insane drinkability. They surely know how to brew top notch stuff in Aying. Thanks for the supply, Stefan, it's a real pleasure to have met you!

Bottle (1 pint 0.9 oz). Pours bright copper with off-white head that dissipates quickly. Nose of bready malt, some stone fruit, and floral notes. Rich caramel flavor with honey and some floral notes. Long finish.

Bottle from SinH4, many thanks! As Kirtabier. Pours clear, deep, amber with a beige head. Fine bubbles. A bit of butterscotch, toast bread, molasses and some grass. Soft feel.

Marzen espectacular, de lo mejor en su categora, se bebe sola, en paladar es un espectculo, olor a cereales que llama. Repetira sin dudar.

smroush (310) - Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2017
Aromas of toffee and bread with hints of butterscotch, molasses and some nutty flavor. Pretty much no hop aromas. Color is a clear attractive amber; head is a sparse off-white. Taste starts wit a little sweetness but then finishes dry. Light bitterness. Texture is a bit lively carbonation; light to medium body; medium length finish. Overall a pretty true to form Marzen, though relatively low complexity.

Great taste - especially when pouring it straight from the tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Øl fra øverste hylde. Virkelig god øl af denne type. Dejlig frisk. Tilpas bitter

Aroma is caramel and toast. Taste is both fruity and a tad sour, but at the same time sweet, with caramel and toast bread.
