COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 Murky brown. Nice caramel and banana mixed with some spices. Yeast finishes off the end. Nice flavors and very good but falls a little flat. Would enjoy a little more of a finish and aftertaste. Good nonetheless.

Wat laf, niet sprankelend, wel doordrinkbaar, zoet a la een Weizer, weinig bitter, mooie kraag.

similar overall body and flavour of german wheat beer but balanced with a balanced amber hue and flavour. the combination of fruity wheat beer and roasted malt make this a uniquely enjoyable beer

500ml bottle pours a cloudy orange/amber color with large lasting white head and a bit of lacing. Aroma has bananas, wheat bread, and cloves. Taste is sweet with a long finish of bananas and spice. Body is medium with lively carbonation. This is an old world treat I’ll gladly try again.

Cloudy medium brown body with a large, creamy, long-lived, beige head. Strong yeasty aroma of banana, sweet caramel and cereal. Strong flavour of hefeweizen banana, sweet caramel and burnt sugar. Light to mid-bodied, dry on the palate, moderate carbonation. Very nice one, I like the touch of burnt sugar.
