COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Bottle from a trade with SinH4. Thanks so much for providing me with these great brews, Stefan!
Pours a murky amber, more brown than golden. Huge off-white head. Spicy, fruity, intense aroma. Citrus fruit, lime, orange peel, ripe banana, cinnamon, allspice, dough, the slightest hint of roasty malt, a hint of fermentation, alcohol, dark honey. Loved the fruity, tense foam! Aroma is a little sweet, a little tart, with a hint of bitterness. Medium body, lively, almost fizzy carbonation.
Spicy, quaffable, fruity. Hell of a good Weizen. There’s a lot going on, but it’s well balanced.
