COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2018 Very weak aroma of yeast and wheat malt. Taste is very well balanced between the barley and wheat malts with hints of banana, apple and pear. Wheaty-malty sweet finish.

Bevuta in bottiglia colore leggermente più scuro di una classica weisse. Bellissima schiuma. Al naso bene la banana e la nota di pane. In bocca molto piena e gustosa. Bellissimo prodotto.

Drinked in bottle bb 7.18 on the nose mature banana, very mature yellow apple, white breadcrumbs some hints of gloves. In mouth is medium bodied, super balanced, incredibile flavour, light brown cruncy bread, light caramel cream, banana pudding and a long and dates after taste. Amazing

From tap in Ayinger's in Munich. Pours brown-yellowish opaque with thick off-white head. Quite savory and strong for a Weizen. Flavors of grain, fruit, some faint booze and even a hint of bitterness. Good.

0.5l bottle. Looks good. A deep dark amber brown one, cloudy and with a tall lasting dense beige lacing head. It smells really good. Lots of banana sweetness. Toffee cake, biscuits and mutt malts Yeast is all around and it smells quite inviting. Tastes really good also. Sweetish with banana cake. Nice smooth and creamy in the mouth. A little yeast, sugar sweetness toward the finish and hints of bread and spices in the aftertaste. Nice flavors, a good thirst quencher. 27.12.2017

March 8th, 2015 - Ayinger makes spectacular brews that are regularly eclipsed by the flashier marketing and English language appeal of locally brewed beers. And drinking local is good, but settling in to appreciate the restrained brewing of a German brewer is essential, too. With a dark hazy brown-red color, it looks rich, even pretty, and offers a grainy aroma with mashed banana and clove. Overall, it comes across as sweet on the scent, but tastes more dry than sugary. A banana note kicks in at the mid-taste, with the savory thickness of crackers and bread. Several sips in and the bread takes a somewhat sweet glow, like "melon pan", but well within likable parameters. Tasty and cheap, this is an excellent reminder that I should be purchasing more German beer when available.

16.9 oz. bottle, consumed on 12-13-17. Hazy, medium to dark bronze with a large amount of uneven, beige head. Light to moderate effervescence. Fun to watch the large amount of head rapidly convert to liquid. Nice color. Looks good. A bit cloudier in the final pour. Scents of banana, caramel, and raisin. Toffee as well. Quite nice in aroma. Sweet but sophisticated flavor matches the aroma. Banana and toffee. Caramel muffin. A touch of dry minerality and lemon tartness. Perhaps some cinnamon (not literally). Not the freshest beer, and I think a fresh version would be notably better still, but it holds up pretty well to however long it aged. Light to medium body, on the heavy side for the style but not for the ABV. A touch undercarbonated and not the most substantial palate effects. Overall, a good beer and even better for the style. I think a fresh version of this beer on a hot day could be excellent. I’m glad I tried it even if I’m not quite going to rave about it. Even better in later, yeastier pours as I sip. 7.4.8.2.15=>3.6

A very hazy dark amber, with lots of visible carbonation and a classic huge weizen head that shows good enough retention. Lively aroma has a dough and caramel base with fruity notes (banana, pear. Kind of more ripe than usual per style) and quite strong spiciness. Taste follows the aroma with a bit of that bubblegum feel that is common with weizens. Overall obviously obviously sweet with a slight hint of refreshing sourness. Very good mouthfeel, feels easy and smooth with a light body and a strong carbonation that gives it a creamy feel. Very good
