COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Thick foamy head dissipates quickly. Five minutes later I was left with one of the most unpleasant looking murky brown substances ever put in a beer glass. It looked like dirty dishwater. Luckily the taste is still fine. Highly carbonated, malty, wheat taste with undertones of fruity sweetness.

Semi light; fairly typical Belgian. Delicate finish, with no negative aftertaste. Totally enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I like it, but not nearly as much as Ayinger Bräu Weisse...................

Cloudy medium brown body with a large, creamy, long-lived, beige head. Strong yeasty aroma of banana, sweet caramel and cereal. Strong flavour of hefeweizen banana, sweet caramel and burnt sugar. Light to mid-bodied, dry on the palate, moderate carbonation. Very nice one, I like the touch of burnt sugar.

Keg. Aroma caramel, bread, banana, bubblegum, dough, it’s a bonanza of funkiness. Pours hazy amber orange with white lacing. Taste is medium sweet with a bready back note as a counter. Certainly an interesting beer and utterly un-English too. One almost hear the oompah.

Tap at Akkurat. Hazy orange with a frothy, white head. Aroma and taste is lightly spicy with a lot of banana, cloves, yeast and wheat. Caramelly malt underneath. Slightly malty, wheaty finish. Highly drinkable.

Keg @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Murky amber, lasting white head, good lacing. Huge banana aroma, wheat bread and cloves in the background. Full-bodied, medium carbonated, very smooth mouthfeel. Rich wheat taste, sweet fruity with banana upfront, peach, peppery yeast, cloves, soap and rustic white wheat bread. This is a full meal! Crisp and fruity finish. Superb brew!
