Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Pours a cloudy pale orangish yellow with thick white head, minimal lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, and mild toasted malt. Flavor matches well and is enjoyable, but nothing I need to go back to.

Flaska från Boxbeer drucken med ölföreningen. En lite men inte mycket mörkare hefe. Stor och krämig kropp, fruktig med en hel del banan men minst lika mycket bröd och jästkaraktär. Rustik, mustig och matig. Riktigt gott.

In the bottle at World of Beer. Nose is typical weizen with a healthy dose of banana and cloves. Appearance is a slightly cloudy golden orange. Taste has similar elements to a standard hefeweizen but offset by an overarching malty backbone. Sweetness more prevalent than one might think. Banana, caramel, and a little brown sugar. Mouthfeel is super smooth, almost silky. Very good representation of the style.

geolgau (418) - Cluj-Napoca, ROMANIA - OCT 1, 2017
Malty and yeasty, aroma is rich with banana and apple. Taste is also rich and full bodied, the proper weizen taste. Tarty, fruity, candy like sweetness. No off flavors, no dust, no staleness. Very good!

500 ml bottle. Hazy Amber orange color. Medium sized creamy beige head. Robust yeasty wheat malt nose with notes of clove and sweet caramel. Flavor is tangy wheat malt, ripe banana, cove and overripe lemons. Yeasty notes. Cooked apples, caramel and rustic bread. Chewy wheat malt finish.

dzurek (354) - Szczecin, POLAND - SEP 29, 2017

danlo (3189) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2017
500ml bottle. Hazy golden brown colour with a thick white foam head leaving lacing. Aroma of wheat, banana, bubblegum, milky, yeasty. Taste is wheaty, malty, sweet fruity, caramel, with milky yeast notes. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity finish. Nicely drinkable.
