COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

One of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Quite complex and still refreshing as some lighter wheat beers. Wonderful banana clove and fruity ester aromas, super complex but not overwhelming. Would go great with many foods.

corkyrory66 (2200) - BELGIUM - NOV 6, 2017
Quel regret!! (9/4/9/4/19)

Smakuje zupełnie jak "U" pite w Spezialu w Bambergu. Pycha.

Riktigt gott.

In the bottle at World of Beer. Nose is typical weizen with a healthy dose of banana and cloves. Appearance is a slightly cloudy golden orange. Taste has similar elements to a standard hefeweizen but offset by an overarching malty backbone. Sweetness more prevalent than one might think. Banana, caramel, and a little brown sugar. Mouthfeel is super smooth, almost silky. Very good representation of the style.

Malty and yeasty, aroma is rich with banana and apple. Taste is also rich and full bodied, the proper weizen taste. Tarty, fruity, candy like sweetness. No off flavors, no dust, no staleness. Very good!
