Hazy orange-yellow colour, thin white head. Malty, fruity aroma with a hint of alcohol. Medium-bodied, foamy mouthfeel. The flavour is malty, wheaty, a little sour, with banana, yeast and alcohol warmth.

Bottle - hazy yellow color, nice creamy head. Taste is moderate banana, spices, yeasty. Mouthfeel is great, silk-like. Strong body, alcohol well hidden. a nice beer from a style I usually dont really like.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet wheat with notes of bread, caramel, citrus, and banana. Palate is thick and smooth. Taste is sweet, finishing dry.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2013 Pours a hazy light orange with a nice big off white head and decent lacing. Smell banana, clove, caramel apple as well as some wheat character. Same in test with also a little spiciness and impression of funk. Sweet, bordering on cloying but not quite. Medium body with semi smooth mouthfeel. Semi high carbonation. Really like the flavor. Would buy again to drink on a regular basis. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very hazy, toasty orange color with a small head that retains very well. Big wheat and yeast aroma. Lots of banana, clove, bubblegum, wheat, and a bit of citrus. Sweet flavor with creamy mouthfeel. Nice finish on this one.

Ayinger Weizenbock (DE) - Weizen Bock - 7.1% - 4.3/5

33 cl bottle i bought over from Aying last summer, BB 11.2015. Cloudy orange color, big creamy and expansive white to yellowish head, persistent. Very perfumed. Classic weizen aroma, lots of fruit and banana, dough, yeast and some citrus in the finish. Thick bready body, relatively soft carbonation. Taste is sweetish, moderately tart, ultra tasty, umami. Dusty aromatic finish. The ABV cant be felt so high, seems close to the urweizen. Delicious weizenbock, loved it, sadly very hard to find.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2008 33cl bottle. Hazy opaque yellow, big foaming pale head. Banana ice-cream nose, spritzy wheat, little clove, very smooth, actually reminds me of Lammin sahti. Sweeeet wheaty flavor, banana, herbs, little creamy vanilla and alcohol. A tad too sugary sweet even. Almost full bodied, strong carbonation. Good, but not exceptional.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, wheat, banana, like a Hefeweizen. I thought this was very good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle purchased a year ago at Holiday Wine Cellar ($4.79). Pours a burnt sunset orange with three fingers of fluffy off-white foam that only slowly dissipates...a lovely beer (though perhaps light in color for the style). Aroma of caramel, toasted wheat bread, banana, grape, yeast, light citrus, and light spice. Flavor includes much the same as found in the nose: bready malts, light caramel, banana, yeast, tingling spice. Only slightly sweet. Great carbonation. A very solid brew. (311, 526)
