I believe this must have been retired by now? Anyway, as of 2005, was acceptable, but over-metallic and acidic. A good strong beer for those who woul like to feel the effects, though. Drinkable in quantity. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2006

Clear golden coloured and hoppy with some sour fruit flavour. Dry lasting finish.
The best darn lager in the world - sadly being phased out by Sam Smiths. 5 pints of it has the effect of 8 pints of Stella, with an acid tab dropped in the first pint. Have loved it for approximately 12 years. Amazing birthday drink. Will be missed. Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2005
Draught at Earl of Lonsdale, London. Golden coloured. A rather good fresh and fruity pilsener. pivo (2688) - GERMANY - FEB 19, 2005
Light dusty lager nose, straw color, low tight head. Clean crisp malt with a hint of citrus. Round corners. An average German-style pils that holds its own. Still, nothing special here.

Decent enough pale gold colour and relatively strong for a British brewed lager, but that’s where the complements end. There’s a hint of malt in the aroma but, otherwise it all comes over as artificial, chemical and metallic. Dull mouthfeel. Drinkable, but not good. Not the worst I’ve had either. Keg at the Brewery Tap (the old Courage brewery tap, now run by Sam Smiths), Southwark. kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2004
Metallic aroma. Gold with white head. Bland sweet flavour. Thin bodied. Blergh. Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2004

Odd attempt at a lager, not at all authentic. Flat & barely malty.
Sampled on the Ratebeer London Meetup & Pub Crawl, December 2004. With Silktork, Chris_o, & Kook.
A pale lager with little carbonation. The taste is sweet and the smell is off-putting after a while. Not a pleasant experience even on a hot day and in need of a cold drink. duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2003
Had this in London a very long while ago. Really pale yellow in appearance, sweet malty, with little else to it. Not really German in flavour, but then again, it is brewed in England.
