Cask, Handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks Thursday 12th July 2012 Warm gold in colour with slim white head, good temperature and in lovely nick. Aroma showing a little bit of sick. Quite bitter though there is an initial flurry if sweet maltiness, drying, tasty beer with a nod to a euro lager but more in the mould of a Golden and Pilsner hybrid, but really nice again from Aylesbury. Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Thinnish, light on the palate, there is a boiled grainy note to this developing towards boiled toffee in the background. Quite yeasty, then a leafy, grassy hop note. Improves on drinking though, moving towards fruity sweet hops. Reasonable.
