Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland.
[ As Ayr Doctor Blacklock No. 5 Chocolate Orange Stout ].
Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, orange notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, mint, orange. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma and taste the same - light chocolate, no orange. Like all the Blacklocks, too thin. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 4, 2013
Not enough orange, not enough chocolate, too subtle. I really wanted to love this but i just dont, nice enough, could be so much better McNeillR (2333) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 29, 2013
Soft brown, decent ringed tan head. Easy going sweetness, little orange nose. Soft banana but mainly undersweet choc and a decent rich and easy going finish.

Cask @ The Glenpark Hotel. Dark brown colour, big foamy head (quite light coloured for a stout). Coffee chocolate aroma. Dark chocolate & orange flavour. Would have liked this to be served a bit warmer and it to be a bit smoother but it is still quite good. I look forward to more beers like this. Stuartyboy (1802) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2012
On tap at Glenpark deep red brown beer with sweet chocolate flavour with a hint of Orange which is distinctive but not overpowering very pleasant beer albeit a bit sickly sweet which would prohibit drinking more than one or two pints mr_h (6064) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2012
Cask by handpump at Glen Park Hotel, Ayr - very dark brown, thick creamy tan head, roasted chocolate malt aroma, strong chocolate flavour with a prolonged chocolate aftertaste, very nice
