Pours a slightly hazy ruby amber hue with a large off white head, some lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt, toasted grains and mild fruity notes. Taste same as aroma with a bit of tart and quite bitter flavor. Palate is a medium body, crisp with good carbonation. Finishes with caramel malt, toasted grains, mild fruity notes, yeast with some tart flavor from the bottle fermentation I guess and hops bitterness on the end. Seems a bit on the bitter side. Overall an ok drinking brew.

Bottle from Total Wine. Poured into Snifter. Head was HUGE!! And kind of obnoxious. The aroma was good...grains, malts, herbs, etc. But my bottle was certainly infected. Tasted like a Cantillon sour...which is fine when it is supposed to taste like a sour. But this was an American PA.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Bottle, Moderate roasted grain for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate mustiness for the yeast, with a hint of wood. Head is obnoxiously huge, fizzy/frothy turning rocky, mostly white, with thick crusty lacing, is fully lasting leaving a goofy point in the middle of the glass. Color is clear on the first pour but murky at the end, medium amber. Flavor starts moderately to heavily acidic and sour, then finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, dry with a fizzy carbonation. American Pale? More like American Amber/Wild Ale.

Bottle. Mine was not a gusher, but I wish it was...now I have to drink it. Cloudy amber color with a white head. High carbonation. Aromas of grass, sour fruit and malt. Funky flavors, sour on the palate. I wouldnt qualify this one as a pale ale.

Total Wine, Fairfax bottle: Bottle was a massive gusher and I lost most of it. Anyway, what was left was a murky amber color with a whitish head. Aroma is earthy, slightly hoppy, with some caramel malt. Basically an earthy off beer. Meh. And I lost most of it.

See, the palate was all wrong. Just too heavy and fat, no crispness, malt is too pronounced, hops too wimpy. Seems all discombobulated.
