COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Alpha Series focuses on the use of hops in mead making. Only 16 gallons of this first batch were made. Over 7oz of hops, including Citra, Warrior, and Amarillo, were used to make a hop tea. The hop tea was blended with orange blossom honey to make a strong, sweet mead. The finished product has a beautiful citrus-floral aroma and the mildly bitter hop flavor compliments the sweetness.

Thanks to SeaBass for another awesome Mead from B. Nektar! A: Pours a nice light yellow, nice and oily appearence on the glass. S: Wonderful citric aromas. Mild orange zest, lemon, and even a touch of grapefruit. A big blast of sweet honey backs it up. T: Damn fine stuff. Wonderfully floral and sweet orange blossom honey. Man I am even picking up a hint of jasmine. The hops shine as well. Lots of citrus (I presume from the hops) with a hint of bitterness to cut through some of the honey sweetness. Damn fine stuff. Bravo to the boys at B. Nektar on this one! M: Medium in body, rich, and sweet, a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Jadore!

Quite the incredible blend of honey and hops. Sweet, lightly bitter. Dessert qualities and herbal notes. A wonderful enigma of a beverage.

Light honey colored pour with zero head but solid legs. Aroma is sweet with vanilla, symple syrup, fruit and citrus finding their way to the nose. Wow, is the flavor unique with lots of spicy hops blending into the sweetness. Tons of herbs in there along with a nice floral component. Cant get over the hop profile...so assertive but doesnt clash with the sweetness at all. Kind of like a candied orange peel glazed in honey and sprinkled with cracked black pepper. Pretty tasty.

Generously shared by BOLTZ7555. Bottle pours glistening pale gold with no head. Aroma shows notes of vanilla, orange blossom, honey, lemon zest and an underlying herbal quality. Flavor shows the same with some additional floral qualities that were not quite present in the nose. Overall body is moderate to full with well balanced sweetness. The hopping on this thing definately takes the cake and separates it from every mead ive had to this day. Great stuff!

Bottle at cgarvieuks Danish Invasion evening. Very pale yellow colour. Big pungent resinous boozy nose, honey and grapefruit. Quite sweet front with a nice dryness that comes later. Resinous pine notes also, some tart apple, big pithy booze and a tart honeyed finish. Another very interesting mead from these guys.

Bottle from a trade over a year ago. $22.99 price tag for a 375ml. Pours with a clear golden yellow hue. Still massive, strongly etched legs. Lightly musty and corky aroma with citrus, and dry champagne notes with citrusy tangerine, tropical fruit, muscatel and grapefruit. Some tangelo and white wine. Beautiful esters. Light mineral. Medium sweet mead. Slightly distracting Concord grape flavor. Citrusy, tropical fruit, melon, alcohol heat, Gewurtz and grassy hops. Medium to full sweet with a surprisingly good balance of alcohol, subdued acid and hop character. Quite interesting. Zesty. I was planning on sharing this I while ago, and although its been kept cold, I wonder how the hop flavor has evolved. Quite an elegant and unique taste. Mild menthol finish. Still, medium-full bodied, mildly bitter finish (grapefruit pith) and a touch warming
