Pours a very dark ruby, almost coagulated blood in color. A small head on a vigorous pour quickly recedes. The nose is of blackberries and light spice (clove). The mouthfeel is light, as it should be, but manages to be smooth and almost slick. The flavor profile is outstanding - complex, but balanced, and bursting in flavor. It begins with a burst of sweet blackberry which rides over a honey sweetness. It then progresses to a bit of tartness over a mild clove. The finish is smooth, yet a bit dry, and leaves you with a lingering flavor that is all encompassing. Outstanding is the only way to describe this 6% sparkling mead.
On tap. Pours a crystal clear dark ruby red, with a bright white head that stays around the edge of the glass. Almost zero aroma. But wow, what a wonderful taste and palate. Smooth as silk. Slightly sweet and sour. Cherries, apricots, and pear. Dayum. Tasty mead!!!

Bottle thanks to Bryan I think. Pours a reddish orange color with a small bubble head. A big apple and berry nose. Spicy notes dominate, I guess this is clove, smooth sweet apples, light berries. Quite nice. 60minuteman (1684) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2017
Bottle. Clear ruby color no head. Smells like a Djarum. Clove, honey, berry and pepper. Tastes like a clove, honey, heat and a little sour. Syrupy but pretty smooth. luttonm (6169) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 16, 2017

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this mead poured a dark red-plum color with a medium sized foamy pink head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The flavor was berries, honey, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon. Long nutmeg and clove finish. Moderately full bodied. Nice. N3lson1 (1005) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Throw this in a red wine barrel for a few months! This beer is super delicious, looks amazing. Looks like a deep cranberry juice, with purplish, white fluffy/sticky head. A low abv for a mead, but I could definitely see myself slamming a couple of these back with someone who prefers their wine.
