This was a very pleasant surprise when I tried it for the first time Friday Jan 24, 14. It was amazing! So very impressed! And I do NOT like 95% of beers.

Incredible flavor. I can taste the clove and it is not over powering, but blends with the orange zest into an incredible flavor that is out of this world.

As close to perfect as any mead I’ve ever had. Maybe not traditional, but delicious.

Wonderfully cloved, a little blackberry aftertaste on the tongue. Overall a good drink. Need to try the others from B. Nektar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very dark ruby, almost coagulated blood in color. A small head on a vigorous pour quickly recedes. The nose is of blackberries and light spice (clove). The mouthfeel is light, as it should be, but manages to be smooth and almost slick. The flavor profile is outstanding - complex, but balanced, and bursting in flavor. It begins with a burst of sweet blackberry which rides over a honey sweetness. It then progresses to a bit of tartness over a mild clove. The finish is smooth, yet a bit dry, and leaves you with a lingering flavor that is all encompassing. Outstanding is the only way to describe this 6% sparkling mead.

Blackberry sets this one off, along with the orange. Very nice wish I could get it locally so I could enjoy it whilst at the house...

Wow, what an interesting mead this is! Cinnamon and clove smell. Berry and clove taste with hibiscus tea. Odd, but oddly enjoyable!

Ruby pour, no head. Aromas of blackberries, honey, cloves, and orange zest. Just like it reads. This smells like christmas. Wow the aroma is incredible. Flavor is sweet blackberries with spice. Wonderful balance of flavors. Very tasty.

Throw this in a red wine barrel for a few months! This beer is super delicious, looks amazing. Looks like a deep cranberry juice, with purplish, white fluffy/sticky head. A low abv for a mead, but I could definitely see myself slamming a couple of these back with someone who prefers their wine.

Aroma is honey, dark fruit and perfumed funk. The flavor is blackberry, honey, medium sweetness, slight earthy notes and a tart/slightly dry finish.
