Bottle courtesy of Allen shared at Frank’s in October 2012. Pours a deep, blood red body with minor white lacing. Aroma is spice, peppers, sweet cherry, cinnamon and chocolate syrup. Mouthfeel is medium and hot with notes of sweet, rich cherries dipped in chocolate, cinnamon, booze and peppers. Yea! PhillyCraft (7741) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Bottle from Allen split with some brahs in the yunk. Limited to 40 bottles, this guy has been on my mead radar as a must try. Thanks for sharing dude. Pours cranberry red with bubbly clearish head, light lacing left behind. Nose is cinnamon, pepper, light cocoa, black cherry. Taste is chipotle, red hot candy, goji berries, and some light chocolate. Rich and spicy with a residual heat left in the throat in upper chest. Finishes dry and long lasting with flavor. World class mead especially if you like heat. fbm115 (187) - New Jersey, USA - APR 23, 2012
very interesting stuff here. smells like a can of poblano chilies with chocolate cherry intenseness. flavor is all there with a fresh chili bite. chocolatey, light fruitiness with some esters. overall very interesting to experience the medley of flavors j12601 (13034) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Bottle at a tasting at James’ place, thanks to Steve. Pours a deep crimson and ruby. Smoky chipotles, like a freshly opened can of them in adobo sauce. Medium bodied, cherry comes in quickly, a hint of cocoa, lots of warmth, more cherry comes back. Really nice, complicated but approachable. Long cherry pie, touches of smoky chipotle. Delicious. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 30, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Bottle shared by Steve. Pours dark cherry. Nose/taste of the perfect blend of black cherries with pits, cocoa, chili pepper, earthy vanilla and honey. Finishes with light chili pepper tingling the back of the palate. Fuller mouth feel than most meads. Slight dryness in trailing chili pepper finish after initial cherry/cocoa sweetness.

Thank you goes out to Brad for this one. Pours a very rich hue of red. Wonderful aromas of sweet honey, tart cherry juice, and earthy dried peppers. The flavor is the name. They nailed this one. It starts sweet and fruity. Hints of tart berries creeps in along with notes of earthy chocolate. As you swallow a slight warming hits the mouth and throat. This one tastes even better than I hoped it would. Cheers to Brad and the guys. They nailed this one.
