Bottle during RBWG GT. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, honey, spice. Medium body, honey, light roast, nice booze, very good. koleminer20 (3591) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 24, 2015
From notes. Enjoyed on September 19 at Travis’ house. Poured from a 375 mL bottle. The pour is a darker reddish orange color with no head or lace to be found. The aroma is really hot on the front end, and then it morphs into detectable things. There is a nice honey sweetness that couples with a lighter than expected coffee. There is a little roast hidden in there as well, but the honey sweetness is the forefront. The flavor is much of the same. The coffee does not taste as good as it smells. There is a burnt roast here that drowns out the honey a bit before the booze takes over and remains pretty warm on the finish. It does come off syrupy in the mouth feel, but I’m not sure how a coffee mead should hold up. It seems like it’s a different thing for me. There is almost no carbonation, and the aftertaste is lingeringly sweet, backed up by a burnt coffee and a lingering booze.. It wasn’t terrible. ICEatALAMO (1349) - Troy, Michigan, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Bottle. The pour is a reddish orange. The aroma is honey and bitter coffee. The taste is a nice mix of honey and coffee, but the coffee is not overpowering. Has some heat to it as well. Good mead.

Bottle. Clear reddish-brown pour, still. Aroma is a mix of ashy, burnt coffee and earthy honey. Tastes really bad. Old burnt coffee and very sweet honey doesn’t make a good combo. I know this bottle is at least a couple years old now so maybe it’s aged poorly. It’s barely drinkable right now. tchaos (428) - New York, USA - MAR 20, 2015
375 ml bottle courtesy of brad. Pours a translucent brown. Nose of coffe and fruit. Taste follows with a honey finish. Coffee has held up fairly well over time, but some of the acidity has faded.

Tasted during RBWG grand tasting. Thanks to Ferris. Clear orange amber color. Little white head, some bits of lace. Really awesome coffee, honey. Moderate to bigger sweet taste. Bigger body, kind of slick. Fun, very enjoyable mead. It works.
