29-MAR-2011, bottle @Papsø tasting. What is this? It is somewhat grapey. Very very sweet with a strange spicey note. Quite complex. Cherries? Yes, they are there. Also a faint tart note. Hmm! cannot work this out. Fine drink.

Bottled. A dark golden mead. The aroma has notes of alcohol, honey, spices, and grapes. The flavor is sweet with an acidic edge and notes of honey, wood, spices, and alcohol, leading to a tart and sweet finish. The alcohol burns the tongue.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2011
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a pale pink - yeah, pale pink it is. Quite some sweet cherry up there in the nose - honey not so much. Rich body, slightly sparkling, some berry sweetness but also a solvent tang. Strangely it ends pretty bitter. 250311
