This is definitely a weird combo. First the aroma was mildly sweet with some resiny hop character. Later the resiny aroma is more prevalent and the sweetness is not apparent. The flavor has some syrupy tastes but not any major honey. Pear flavors are the major flavor. The bitterness is apparent but not overbearing. The overall beer is the weird where sometimes it is pear and piny hops but other times it is resiny and bitter kennydiaz (362) - Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Pours a nice golden color with a mild head. Very sweet honey taste with mild hop taste that. The two do not blend well. I would not recommend for the price. I fell a little robbed. thornecb (6055) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Pours clear green-tinged yellow into a snifter. A few bubbles hug the rim. Green apple, honey and sour urine aromas. Perfume, sour apples and bitter honey upfront give way to a twig and earth lasting bitter finish. Nasty. cheap (6076) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2013 If this is a mead, I’m a beer expert, heheh. On tap at the vintage estate, nice eye candy. Let me tell you, I’d like to get a bottle of this, the tap was so much better than expected, seriously a really good sweet "beer". Very clear and bubbly, like soda water, makes it very interesting. Sweet fromthe start but never cloying, jsut the right amount of mead eprsonality on a bubbly base. As session cintinues it becomes friendly fun easyu nice, yes, this is a real good session that I nerver expected. If you like lindemans and sweet mead, try this stuff out. Loverly, no really. Yum, IPA its not. Barely any co2. wnt more of this, its gone, bullshit. I f you are thinking about a mead, youy may be dissapointed, its mead flavored beer, which makes it rather watery compared to mead. Very happy I got to try this. Thanks vintage! Draft... Clear and straw-colored with a small, fizzy, short-lived, white head. The bouquet is a disagreeable marriage of green apple and musky/funky hops. Medium to full-bodied and a touch syrupy with only a trace of carbonation. The flavor offers sweet honey followed by a lightly bitter/mostly sweet finish. Note to B. Nektar: Knock it off. This stuff sucks. Cook up more Zombie Killer. Thanks. -Eric

Pours almost clear with no head. Aroma is mostly honey. Taste adds hops up front but still finishes like mead. Interesting experiment.

Picked up single 500ml bottle from Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI. Pours a clear pinot gris colored mead with a clean disk top and plenty of viscosity tears. Aroma of piney and grapefruit hops, a touch of tart apple and honey. Taste continues the pine and Cascade-like hops, well balanced with sweet honey. Finish has a short-lived sharp spicy hop bitterness followed by sweet honey. BillWyce (1104) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2013
From notes: Poired a very pale straw color, almost clear, with a small, thin white head that quickly dissipated. Light bubbling along the glass. Light honey-sweet aroma with some grapefruit hops beneath. Body is light, but with a very slight thickness and a brief, dry finish. Interesting flavor, blending sweet honey with a mild bitterness from the grapefruity hops. A bit odd at first taste, but I found it quite drinkable. Bottle pours a clear pale golden with some spotty bubbling for a head. Aroma of a dry mead with honey, apples, and mild hops. Taste is dry apple and mildly sweet honey followed by bitter hops finishing bitter and almost nutty. Taste is pretty shocking at first while cold but it mellows out and becomes drinkable once it warms. Interesting, might be onto something in the future, may work better with a drier mead.
