Very meady, not very hoppy. It’s a very nice mead with some hops. That’s about all the is to it.

One of those things you get cuz you’ll probably never see it again and you don’t want to miss it. Mind-blowing it is not. It tastes like a dry hopped Mead... The only real taste is from the hops, it’s fairly simplistic and seems unfinished. Though I believe this has been replaced with some other crazy stuff so... It was definitely worth a try, b. nektar can brew the shit out of anything.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours pale golden yellow, very sweet and dry, light honey.

50cl bottle. Small white head that wholly dissipates atop crystal clear pear juice body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some honey, floral, light grape, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/orange, light floral, honey. Light-medium body, light stickiness. The combination of flavors clashes rather than merges for me.

500 ml bottle from Homer321 - thanks LaSean! Pours a clear, very pale yellow gold with some fizzing bubbles initially that quickly settle into nothing. Looks like a white wine, basically. Aroma of florals, grass, straw, earth, and honey. The flavor has more honey, balanced by grass, florals, herbs, and earth. Light-medium bodied, with a vinous, lightly bitter mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not as hop-forward as advertised, but a decent mead. Underrated.

My very first mead, so it’s difficult to rate this. I definitely prefer this to an average sake, but give me a beer any day. I have no idea why this one is marketed as an IPA-style mead - there’s no citrus or bitterness. It’s actually pretty watery and inoffensive. Just nothing noteworthy about this.

Pour is light golden with a medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor of honey, white grapes, hops, sugar, and grass. Finish is dank and watery.

Lonick (1872) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 15, 2014
Bottle @ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours looking like a white wine, big lychee nose, big lychee taste, fruity and sweet but also lip smacking dry as well, fantastic

McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 5, 2014
Thin white wine look, no head. Blossoming lychee and rich bitterness already coming through. Cooling bitterness, cloying at times. Easy going mouth-feel. Light limey finish, oddly citrus.

Bottle, Cheers Craig, April Not So Fools Tasting
