Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light color with just a tinge of yellow in there and no head. Nose is sweet with some honey tones, but just a bit of a bite in there. Taste is an odd mix of sweet with a hint of bitter on the back end. It’s an odd combination that I’m not a fan of. milewide (2315) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Very clear color---almost water like. Minimal head and body. Sweet taste up front with some lemon in the middle. Touch of hop bitterness in the aftertaste. olr1984 (1530) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2013
500ml pours like white wine. Honey and apple aroma. Not the best taste, a bitter white wine. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - APR 27, 2013
From AC Beer Fest 2013. The aroma is honey, apple, piss. The appearance is clear gold, white head. The flavor is honey, citrus, pine. the finish is hops, mainly earthy and pine. Medium in body. Meads aren’t usually my thing, but, this was very interesting, different, good. RABinCO (1707) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 26, 2013
Bottle into a snifter. Pours like green gatorade watered down with tonic water or something. Like pale Mt. Dew. Aroma is lightly floral and sweet but with a bit of dirt and eggy sulfur. Taste is the same. There’s this weird egg/sulfur thing that hangs over this mead. An interesting experiment, but it doesn’t really work.

Pours a very clear yellow color. Lots of hops in the nose but more along the lines of hop oil, light citrus notes sweet honey and a light floral note at the end. Flavor is bad in my opinion. Tastes like chemical hops oil, white wine like flavor, mild sweetness. Body is very light and watery. Blah meed overall. Too much of an off chemical flavor which is pretty disappointing because I thought this would of worked very nicely. JStax (7186) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 23, 2013
Pours a pale yellow with no carbonation. Honeydews and crisp honest come through in the aroma. Very sweet and floral taste. Lighter mouthfeel. weihenweizen (4129) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - APR 21, 2013
Chilled bottle poured into a snifter at JStax birthday mead tasting. Pours light yellow with some carbonation. Aroma is grapefruit & hops and medium body. Taste is honey with some grapefruit. Not my thing. gillagorilla (31) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 20, 2013
Ar: It smells of very sweet citrusy hops. You would think it is an excellent IPA. Lots of grapefruit scents.
AP: Very light yellow like a nice white wine or champagne. No head or bubbles.
T: If you didn’t know this was a mead, you probably wouldn’t be able to pin it down. It tastes more like a quite dry cider with a bit of hops. The hops make it taste much more like a beer, or a lager. However, it makes it taste like the kind of beers I don’t like (I can’t pin the exact type, but to me it is like Yuengling (not good). It gets more hoppy like an IPA the warmer it gets. The hoppiness depends on the sip.
P: It is quite dry and move through your mouth easily and smoothly leaving very little of an aftertaste. The slight aftertaste is of hops and light tart citrus.
O: It is very unique. However, it tastes like something that seems common, but really isn’t. Actually, it is quite complex. Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2013
500ml bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with small fizzy white head. Aroma is floral and piny hopes, with some honey. Taste is like dry hopped sprite. I found it quite good and refreshing. Sweet honey, citrus, pear, and pine.
