500 ml bottle thanks to flandersned. The mead is a dark red with no sign of carbonation. The aroma has sour cherries and sweet honey and bread. Seems like there is some pepper heat in there too. Syrupy mouthfeel. Delicious. biggsbowler (625) - Port St. Lucie, Florida, USA - MAY 30, 2015
bottle - Pours dark red. Nose is strong cherry smell, lots of sweet honey, and florals. Taste is cherry juice, honey, and a little bitterness in the end. It’s very rich and decadent. tchaos (428) - New York, USA - MAR 21, 2015
500ml bottle. Pours still red. Aroma is heavy with cherry and honey. Tastes of deep, tart cherry, honey, and slight floral notes. Excellent melomel. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - APR 29, 2014
Poured a light pinkish color with aromas of light hay, some honey, light cherries, and a touch of booze. Flavors were light sweet honey and cherries, easy drinker that hid the abv nicely. Inbreak (6025) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2013

Rar grønsaksprega lukt, rødbet, jord, syregras, friske bær. Sødmerik lett konsentrert frisk smak med preg av syrlige raude bær, sukker, "grønsaker", jord, mandelessens. Grei.
0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Lovely blood-orange/cherry red color in the glass with a small bubbly quickly side sticking top. Looks really nice, and the aroma? Oh, my that’s a different aroma! It’s as original as original gets. Something slightly woody and tart, blood orange, citrus, almond cake and brett? What is this? It has a little carbonation, soft prickling but present. The taste is both light tart, sweet and red. Yeah it tastes red in a way. Wood, honey, red grapes, lots of both sweet and tart cherries, slightly astringent, well perhaps not astringent but slightly mouthdrying in the finish. A creation I’m really struggling to understand, but I think I’m kinda liking it. 20.03.2013 ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle from trade with Sarro, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew feat. special guest star Hanne Frosta from Hanne På Høyden, Bergen @ BBGTC Mead Tasting, part 1 (we thought we’d do an all-night mead event but realized midway that we’d have to cut it in two parts, at least...too much stickiness in one evening... :-P) Pours a deep pink-hued red body with no head. Aroma is beet root, alcohol, grass and herbal cherry tones. Taste is peppery tart cherry tones with sweet syrupy honey notes in the back. Some grass and almonds. Smooth and full-bodied, with very soft carbonation. Very interesting and kinda good, albeit in a perverse kinda way - I find one half of my brain telling me that I enjoy this while the other half tells me I am SO WRONG in doing that. :-P nuplastikk (6277) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 20, 2013
Tap at Dexters. Deep purple red. Big berry aroma. Mellow and quite drinkable, some honey tones. Not much to compare it to, sort of like a quality mad dog 20/20. BeerGuyTWMore (128) - Florida, USA - SEP 13, 2012
First "Meade", thanks Lisa! Pours ruby with pink fizz; fun colors. Aromas are boozey cherry juice, wine (a little ruby port like), yeast...no hops! This one goes down like juice, half way through and feeling the effects of 12% abv. Taste is cherry juice, honey, mild hop, with champagne like yeast finish. Honey coats the lips, cherry the tongue; all in all pretty tasty. Don't expect a hoppy beer, it's still a Meade! Fun to try!

Bottle shared MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours ruby red with a thin ring of bubbles. Nose is deep, dark cherry, lots of baking spice, muted honey sweetness, and not really any hops. Taste is the same--big pungent, sweet cherry juice, light baking spice, honey on the finish, and again--no sign of the hops. A bit of sharp, spicy bite on the finish. Not sure if that’s the alcohol or maybe the hops coming through. Slick and smooth with no carbonation. Awesome stuff.
