Doré/rosé, col fin blanc disparaissant vite.
Bouquet est fruité, bien axé sur la cerise avec des effluves plus douces de miel et un léger fleuri, le tout est complété par des notes de vanille venant du Bourbon, cette dernière perce bcp plus avec la t° tempérée.
Palais est légèrement aigrelet des cerises et alterne bien avec la douceur du miel, alcool perce bien sans être surfait, touche de douceur de vanille du Bourbon arrive aussi bien sur la fin. Le tout devient un peu collant aux lèvres tout en gardant un effet râpeux aigrelet des cerises aidé par l’effervescence. Poured out red and what may be forced into an amber color. 14 SRM.
Nose has light honey funk that but is somehow less than one would expect of a full-bodied mead. This has been pretty characteristic of my experience with B. Nektar meads which is that there is no funk or rawness to what is essentially fermented honey. The nose has chemical artificial fruit aromas, almost like nosing cherry Children’s Tylenol.
Mouthfeel is juicy. Palate is juicy but without the raw character of honey or fermented honey.
Overall, for me this was like capri-sun apple berry with alcohol.

500mL bottle, sort of Bamberg-style. Nose is stale mead quickly dominated by vanillin and whiskey barrel. Pour neon orange-pink, utterly clear and the carbonation fizzes the head out in about two seconds. Taste is near-cloyingly sweet, strong whiskey / barrel / vanilla, low bitterness, low-medium tart. Cherry is somewhere around medium, light honey flavor, sort of wish those two were higher in the mix and the sweetness muted a bit (I suppose I even like my meads dry). The alcohol is a treat, though, smooth and well-integrated, dangerous! Medium body, clean and snappy. Not one I’m going to recommend, but glad for having drunk it. Bottle. Pours a dark pinkish color with minimal carbonation. Fruity aroma of mostly cherries. Mostly fruity flavor, cherries and a bit of spiciness, perhaps cinnamon. Full bodied and heavy on the palate. Quite tasty. Ungstrup (37610) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 27, 2017
Draft. A red mead. The aroma has notes of honey and wild berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, lemons, wild berries, and earth, leading to a tart yet sweet finish.

Bottle shared with Paul and Linh. Pours a clear orange/pink body with no lacing. Nose is cherry pie, apple spice and additional fruits. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and juicy - almost no alcohol present on the palate. Pretty incredible.
