On tap, poured into a short snifter. The aroma is ripe raspberry and fresh ginger with a bit of an earthy note. It pours a pale pink that’s brilliant, clear, and effervescent with a white suds head that only has trace retention and lace. The taste is medium bitter and sweet with a mild sour that lends to a tartness. The thin texture has a soda suds carbonation with a light body. A raspberry lemonade flavor is spiked by fresh ginger with a touch of an earthy flavor that, overall, comes off as refreshing with a slick finish with fresh ginger showing up strong and a compliment of light herbal honey to smooth it out. The aftertaste brings more honey poking through that turns to dry, spicy ginger with a astringent bitter raspberry quality.

Pour on tap at the meadery, clear pinkish pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of sweet honey, vanilla, some raspberry notes that are pretty hidden into a bigger ginger note. Taste was raspberry, cherry, honey into a bit of medicine, ginger and spice, finishing sweet. JaBier (8253) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 2, 2015

On tap for Mead Day. A dark berry color. Nice smooth and tart raspberry blend great with the touch of ginger spice. Good stuff. Maybe my favorite that I had for B. Nektar.

On tap at Max’s (from notes). AR: Sweet, tart and cherries. Berries. AP: Red and purple. T: Sweet. Bit of ginger spice. Tart. P: Bubbly and crisp. O: Quite good and refreshing. stickysyrup (45) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2013
This mead was highly disappointing. Had a good look and smell - nice and fruity, with a dark red color, but the taste was somewhat akin to cough syrup I had as a child. While it tasted good then, it’s not something I want my alcohol to taste like. Had it poured at the Michigan Tap Room in Saginaw, MI. phaleslu (10652) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Draft pour at GTMW 2013. Pours a bright ruby red color with some larger bubbles that form a head that dissipates quickly. Huge, fresh raspberry is matched by huge, fresh ginger. A little honey in the middle of the see-saw to balance it all. But the two sides are big and potent here. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, tart, spicy mouthfeel and medium-high carbonation. Really nice and unique.
