Pour out of 500 ml bottle, hazy dark reddish pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of honey, vanilla, slight celery and rhubarb notes, strawberry, slight berry notes. Taste was a mix of mostly rhubarb, strawberry, some honey, floral notes, hints of vanilla, finishing sweet.

From notes. Had this one at Doug’s house for a celebration of his birthday on May 14. 375 mL bottle. The pour is a clear-ish ruby color with no head and no lace. A little brown for a mead, but it looks pretty decent. The aroma is definitely spicy. There is a nice tartness from the rhubarb, and the strawberry backs it up. Light honey, but this is tart and sweet at the same time. The flavors match. Excellent tartness followed by a transition from fruity strawberry to nice lingering honey sweetness. The mouth feel is thinner, yet still syrupy, with a nicely tart fruit and lingeringly sweet honey finish. Not a bad mead.
