Nice mead. Good vanilla, clove and cinnamon nose, with a bit of oak. Flavor is nice and smooth...and flavor profile is spot on to the aromas. Good honey flavors on the finish. JStax (6508) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Bottle. Poured into a wide champagne flute. Appearance is translucent, faint yellow. Nearly clear. Aroma is in your face vanilla beans, honey, and cinnamon sticks. Taste is exactly what the nose indicates it will be. I dot know how this could be any better. It makes you feel enlightened on how a Mead ought to taste. This is it. Wow...that’s all there is to say. cubs (10636) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 18, 2011
Bottle in Ann Arbor. A touch hazy, very light yellow appearance. Sweet honey, cinnamon, mild vanilla bean aroma... My dad said tuna. Haha. Pretty spicy cinnamon, rich vanilla, big sweet honey flavor. Pretty big flavor but nice. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottle at Fermentation Lounge in Tallahassee, FL. The pour is a slightly hazy white- flat. Looks like the old white arctic something flavor of Gatorade. Could be given to your friend as "water". In a shot glass. Decent legs drips with a swirls. Nose- whoa buddy not good here. Huge phenolic compounds smack your head like a chemical fire..perhaps it is just vanilla bean oil to the max but it is 100% chemical heavy like perfume gone bad. Warms up and release volatile notes to reveal medium vanilla bean oil but fuck man- I have brain damage already. Taste is decent vanilla spice and booze. But the nose is still major league chemical, band-aid, plastic to the max. Enormous off character. Very poor. PhillyBeer2112 (2850) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - NOV 4, 2011
I surely don’t know why the love for this. The cinnamon was overbearing in the nose and flavor, vanilla barely noticeable, aroma also featured strong acetone notes. Semi-sweet up front and then sharp and a bit astringent at the finish. Meads are better when you let the honey shine, not cover it up with a bunch of weird spices and flavorings. Surprisingly pale color.

Pours white gold. Nose is sweet honey and vanilla. Flavor is mostly sweet honey and a butter milk like texture with touches of cinnamon and alcohol. This is my first mead rating and this is pretty tasty. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 26, 2011
(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear pale gold, absolutely excellent lacing on the glass. Nose of vanilla, alcohol and a bit of perm chemicals and a tiny bit of cinnamon. Taste of cinnamon, big vanilla extract, waffles, a bit of alcohol, delicious. For the ABV, it’s quite well hidden. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 20, 2011
bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, clear golden color with great creamy coffee cake , cinnamon and praline flavors, excellent Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. This was part of an epic 20 mead tasting, made up entirely of meads from Michigan.
Pours a light yellow color. The aroma is heavy on the vanilla and honey with a little bit of cinnamon. The flavor is also very nice. I get a lot of vanilla and cinnamon sugar notes, with some nice honey added in. There is also a little bit of a cream flavor to the mead. Medium mouthfeel. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 4, 2011
On tap at the GTMW 2011. Pours a yellowish tinted clear color with no head presence. Aroma is nice with vanilla, cinnamon, honey and booze. Taste is very sweet with honey, vanilla, cinnamon, fruit and alcohol. Very tasty and a nice change of pace on a day filled with massive IBUs and barrel aged goodies.
