Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2006 Cask/gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival 28 Sep 06. Very dark brown. Tiny head. Hardly any aroma. Flavour of cow stable. Dry bitter sweet aftertaste.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2006
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Very dark brown with a small off-white head. Faint fruit aroma gives no hint of what is to follow: ashy, roasted coffee malt and a smooth dry finish. Excellent.

TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - APR 6, 2006
Pint pulled at JDW The Railway in Putney (London), a beautifully dark black with a bubbly, but thick, tan head. The aroma is a slight mix of roasted caramal and coffee. Tangy roasted coffee with some chocolate notes and a short finish.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2010 1. Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Centre, Bury 24/11/2001 Mid brown coloured stout with plenty of roast in the finish. 2. Cask Handpump at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 27/03/2010 Some roast aroma. Dark coloured rich on the palate and fruity with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter roast finish.

JDW, Wanstead. Lovely drop. Packed with juicy, fresh, quality blackcurrant fruit. Chocolate. Roasty. Beautiful. It all flows together so well. Great - awesome - mouthfeel. Harmony. Great transition from front to finish. So wonderful it brings tears to the eyes.

Cask in Stoke-on-Trent. More of a thin porter style than a stout. Smooth to drink aftertaste does not linger. Ok but nothing special

Mads Langtved (2243) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2005
Cask condition, GBBF 2005. Brown head. Black appearance. Liquorice dominates the flavour.

leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2005
Bottle conditioned. Black with a large beige head. Aromas are dry roast malts, lots of earthiness. Flavours are very dry roast malts with coffee and hints of bitter dark chocolate. Some licourice, too. Has a very hoppy bitter finish finish with a dry aftertaste. A proper dry stout.

imdownthepub (14553) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2005
Cask Conditioned, Gravity poured at Banbury Beer Festival ’05. Black beer with red hint and malty head. Dry, roasted smokey flavoured stout, coffee husks and roasted chocolate malt. Bitter lasting finish, good stuff.

Ungstrup (37581) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2005
[Bottle conditioned] A black beer with a chocolate brown head. The aroma is sour - weird for a stout, more like a Flemmish sour ale. The flavor is also sour like Flemmish sour ale but with notes of chocolate and caramel.
